Tea Party Bunnies

Beatrix Potter and her quaintly dressed animals have nothing on our tea party bunnies! Here we have Blackberry and Dream, our girls' baby bunnies, dressed and ready for their own garden Tea Party.

By the way, speaking of  tea parties, we attended our very own sensational Tea Party-Baby Shower this past Sunday ....that I seriously can't wait to go on and on about. It was at our friend's, the Post Family Farm, in a field surrounded by queen anne's lace, golden rod, and purple-pink clover. Mandy was our lovely hostess....decorating tables with vintage china and lace table cloths....she went all out as usual! The girls wore their matching dresses....and doll dresses. It was too much fun. I'm still getting the photos loaded....but I'll have it all up very soon. In the meantime, our little bun-buns will show-off their fine tea party frocks!

Munch, munch....love those dandelion leaves! : D

Bin? What Bin?

What's over there? Naaaaaaaah.Where's a large blue ugly plastic bin? Where? I don't see one. No ghastly blue large plastic bins on my deck...

Nope. Just plants and flowers here...

Oh, you mean this is the bunny home?? Wow, I never would've guessed! I thought it was just a lovely deck with flowers and herbs....not a huge, obnoxious-blue plastic crate with bunnies inside it. So it's a bunny-bin! A sweet little bunny home for a couple of sweet baby bunnies...

Our youngest, Asheley is thrilled....can you tell? Our 3 older ones all got bunnies back in 2006. So Asheley really wanted her very own baby bunny....and I promised we'd find her one for her Birthday this Spring. She named her new little bun-bun Dream.

Of course they're all delighted to have a fresh round of baby bunnies at home. Caitlyn and Heather are sharing this baby bunny for now....and named her Blackberry. Actually, we've had some bunny woes lately. We lost Truffles, Heather's bunny, this winter. Heather was heartbroken.

Then a couple of weeks ago, the other 2 bunnies, Freckles and Gracie, appeared to be rather sick. It seemed as though they were getting better when suddenly Freckles, Caitlyn's bunny, died last week. We've been nursing Gracie, Andrew's bunny, along....more on those details later....and she is doing much better now.

This leads up to why some new baby bunnies are really special at the moment. So I suppose I'll just have to deal with the bunny-bin for now! ; )

A Hint: Soft and Fuzzy

Yesterday I told you that I did my first bidding at an auction....and that there were some soft and fuzzy things that we just couldn't resist bringing home with us. What I could show you is the soft and fuzzy western saddle pads that I picked up for $5....or the soft, fuzzy leaves of the big pink geranium I got.....

But those things just aren't as adorably soft and fuzzy as the last soft and fuzzy things we bid on....and 'won' out on.  So here they are....baby black bunnies....now named Blackberry and Dream. What can I say?? They're irresistible!
