Well, it's been damp and rainy and continuing to stay cool today, tho the last couple of days have been glorious sunshine. I'll now conclude the stroll we began through my garden at sunrise.....always a perfect time to stroll when the dew is still on the grass and bit of a chill still in the air. Last summer we managed to construct and plant 8 raised beds lined with paths. Raised beds, of course....makes that impertinent little task of weeding so easy to deal with....almost relaxing! I'm not kidding! Just plop down on the log along the raised bed and the weeds simply pull up with the slightest tug...sometimes even a pinch! Truly!
the lovely kale
squash blossoms...
One of the kid's favorites: banana peppers!
Strawberries...
and lots of wonderful red onions and leeks
These shots of the garden are no longer at sunrise...but views I took mid-morning capturing the whole lay-out. I soooo enjoyed this garden last summer...along with the herb bed on the other side of the camper. This was the largest garden I had thus far attempted. How is it that gardens bring such a great feeling of accomplishment....and the yummiest salads ever! : D
