Yesterday was St. Albans Day, the annual celebration of this cute li'l town we live in, replete with fireworks shot off over Indian Lake last night. All of this to say that we didn't get to bed till after 11 pm.....all of which means I slept in this morning. However, my children didn't. Instead they were up early...with visions of a breakfast tea dancing through their heads!
These dainty tea cups the girls picked up at a flea market we visited up in Orono this week. Now officially 'broken in' this morning....
They had all moved the table and chairs off the deck and under the birch trees while I was still snoozing. A white fitted sheet became a table cloth. Then I managed to get coffee made and some guzzled down....awake enough to oversee the scrambled eggs cooking....and crescent rolls baking.
Now it's off to our breakfast Tea Party....
The chickens wanted to come, too. So we let 'em hang around a bit since they did provided us those lovely golden scrambled eggs after all....
They were politely tolerated....up until the point Maple, in a wild fluttery flash, grabbed Caitlyn's roll right out of her hand. Bad chicken! Maple's lost her manners it appears....along with someone else!
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday afternoon! : D
